Perceptions on film-makers

I've just looked at a couple of posts from the (perhaps not-so recent) past and I've concluded that this blog is schizophrenic. It doesn't really have an identity and is not sure of it's identity either. It vacillates between different personas. From cooking blog to filmmaking blog, personal items, wedding blog it ranges as i suppose my life does. I guess I write about the things uppermost in my mind from time to time and alas, that only occurs when I happen to stumble across my blog my accident. Perhaps if I do it more, more strongly defined themes will emerge and coalesce.

I've been researching video cameras with a view to purchasing one quite soon. At the moment, I'm on the EX1. It's the front runner for me. With a wide angle converter, a 35 mm adapter and a steadicam device, I'll be having fun with this for years, budget allowing, of course. The budget-be-damned option, for me right now, would be the EX3. I can but dream. That's probably a few years away yet...

As I am planning to shoot a short this summer, I've got to get cracking on a script with my 'production team' as soon as possible. At the moment, we're just a bunch of friends talking about some ideas. But as soon as we are a go-go, I know we'll be an awesome force of tight knit focus!! Joy, joy.
