Introduction- reflection on the first weekend

In this blog, I am going to post a diary entry for each day of the film course. This weekend just passed, the 9th and 10th of June, was the first weekend of the course. I wrote about it at the time, in a notebook, so I'll type up those notes tomorrow.

Right now, I have to say a big thank you to Waterford County Council, who by awarding me their film bursary, are making it possible for me to do this course.

Also, I'm writing/composing the first draft of my script which has to be into FilmBase on wednesday. One script from the class will be selected as the piece to be made into a film by the class. Being a visual artist, I must admit that I'm finding it difficult to write the ideas down in script form. I normally draw visual storyboards, and I've never used dialogue, only sound effects, so a script was never really necessary for actors either. Oooer! I may still end up doing a visual script as I can't get away from my current subject matter and themes, so it's likely to be along the same lines as my recent work.
